Nutty for acorns

Those who are on my uni course will know how much i really want to animate squirrels, i haven't found the time as yet so i thought, heck, why dont i draw one for now. walking through the park this morning and seeing tons of squirrels also aided my reasoning.

Trying out a new colouring technique here, im not usually a fan of my work, hence yesterdays doodle. But ive got to be honest, i really got into this one and thoroughly enjoy the end product :)

A Hard Days Work

Had a nice lazy/relaxing weekend visiting the girlfriend, which explains my absence to the last few days daily doodles, ive decided i wont do 3 extra drawings to cover the days missed as i dont want to lie and post several a day, i do other doodles but the rule is only upload 1 a day :P

decided to get inspiration from my lazy weekend and had a little play with airbrush shading and textures, hope you enjoy it guys :D

Under Attack

Daily doodle 18/01/13, didnt have time to add much colour besides the background, but heres todays daily doodle, perfect day for a snowball fight here in the UK. Im off visiting the girlfriend for the weekend so i wont be able to do any daily doodles, but im back tuesday so ill carry on from then, have a great weekend everyone.

CITV Zookeeper Expression Sheet

Decided to create an expression sheet for my CITV zookeeper. Just figuring out the structure of his head for now and playing with how the muscles and bones in his head would move depending on the expression. I may develop him further but i'm pretty happy with his design at this stage.

Cold ... I know not what you mean

Todays Daily Doodle's inspiration came from an old guy i saw jogging through the park in just a vest and shorts. Just to set the scene, i live in the UK and its currently snowing. This guy either had guts or mental problems as he happily jogged past me in my coat, gloves, scarf and hat.

Its a bit slippery

todays daily doodle instalment, a little more than a doodle, but i needed to colour it, once again playing with texture in painting, and testing how i can play with lighting. Careful out there, its slippery.

CITV Zookeeper

Heres the initial character design of the zookeeper from my up and coming short ident for CITV. Still mapping out proportions with body shape and then i'll do a series of facial expressions.

Dont ruin my hair bro

This is yesterdays daily doodle, i did do it yesterday but completely forgot to upload it, really need to get into the habit of remembering to upload it :P May have spent a little to long on this one, but oh well :)

I based this one on the other member of my dads 2 man band when i was a id, he alway reminded me of someone from the Beatles. Starting to play around with new brushes and textures in photoshop, its early days yet and ive got a looooong way to go, but its definitely nice to get away rom the norm.

Return of the Daily Doodle

During my first year at uni, i attempted a daily doodle challenge, i got about 80 in and regrettably ran out of steam and motivation. However, this year im going to fight back stronger than ever and try again, heres (hopefully) the first of many.

Fluffy's Revenge

This is a screen shot from a short film me and a fellow animator are working on for a client called 'Fluffy's Revenge'. As im only in my second year at uni i guess its a big task to make an animated short now, but im sure many have before so meh, why not? My role is assistant animator, so no colour or clean up for me which i guess is a bonus, this screen shot is from one of the scenes ive animated so it was really nice to see my animation coloured. Its taking a little longer than we thought but at least were moving in the right direction :)

Operation Fetch

This weeks theme of the week from Ozcomics was a comic called 'The Deep'. I'm not usually a big fan of comics but this looked really interesting, but anyways, heres my entry, hope you like it :)

CITV ident

Currently working on another short ident for CITV, heres one of the development sketches for one of the characters, looking forward to get round to animating him!
