Final Sky Arts Ident

Here’s a short sting I made for the Sky ARTS sting competition. It was really fun making this as I had the chance to really push the stylization and explore other areas of design. I don't think I made the shortlist so i'm guessing its ok to share it now. Let me know what you think!

Holiday sketches

Just got back from a 10 day break in Marmaris, Turkey. I took the time to take my mind off of animating and get some life drawing practice in. Here’s just a few of the pages i worked on during my time there. Really enjoyed the holiday overall, it was nice to take my mind off of animating for a while. But i still feel like i need some down time after working solid at uni, I wanted to do a lot more but the heat was really getting to me, i’ve found its hard to relax in 37 - 40 degree heat…
On a side note, uni’s all over and ive got over 80% in all but 1 module! WOOO!!! I’m pretty much guaranteed a first class honors now but im still waiting on official confirmation. happy happy happy :)

The other day i entered the Sky ARTS ident competition. The trend with them tends to be 3D abstract animations that look really slick and smooth. I wanted to stick with 2D character animation as its something that they most likely dont see much of, but making it look elegant and stylistically similar to Sky Arts was a toughie.
