Those who are on my uni course will know how much i really want to animate squirrels, i haven't found the time as yet so i thought, heck, why dont i draw one for now. walking through the park this morning and seeing tons of squirrels also aided my reasoning.
Trying out a new colouring technique here, im not usually a fan of my work, hence yesterdays doodle. But ive got to be honest, i really got into this one and thoroughly enjoy the end product :)
Really enjoy this one. The character design reminds me of Hammy from the newspaper strip and animation 'Over the Hedge'. There is a lovely like 'polish' over the image and the soft highlight with the no outline works really well. Imma' gunna' get that acorn.
ReplyDeletethanks man, yeh im loving using this sort of texture on stuff, want to mess around with others as well but ive got a feeling i'll be doing a lot more with this style of colouring.
