Ident character concepts

Im currently in the preproduction stages for a Sky ARTS short ident. Here’s a few character concepts that im working on right now. Ive been researching a lot of 50’s animation styles for design inspiration, trying to push my use of shape more since i know i suck with shape playfulness. Theres a few sizing and proportion issues but im not that bothered at the minute, just trying to get down some interesting shapes. Hopefully it wont take up to much time so i can work on my final film again!
